HORSEBRIDGE POOL

Description
Horsebridge Pool is one of the Society’s smallest waters at around one acre. The water is situated on the outskirts of leek in an attractive valley which provides a relaxed atmosphere. There are approximately ten 10 pegs around its perimeter. Members need to be mindful of the overhead power cables that traverse the water. Poles over 4 metres are therefore not permitted. Depths range from 2.5metres at its deepest to an average of 0.5 metres in the shallows

Species
The club has stocked the pool with small Tench, Roach and Bream. Originally a Trout fishery the coarse fish seemed to have settled in very well providing some excellent nets of fish to members. In addition you will find Perch and Pike.

Species Weights
Roach to 1lb; averaging 4-6oz
Perch to 1lb 12oz; averaging 3-6oz
Tench to 3lb, averaging 2-6oz
Pike to 7lb; averaging 1-3lb
Roach to 1lb; averaging 4-6oz

Location
Approx 1 mile out of leek on the A53. Turn into Sutherland Road, situated on the right just before the bridge.
